From August 28 to 30, 2019, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Patrice TALON, will take part in the work of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7) in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Organized by the Japanese government in conjunction with the United Nations, the United Nations Development Program, the African Union Commission and the World Bank, the Tokyo International Conference on African Development aims to promote political dialogue high-level meeting between African leaders and their Asian development partners. The theme chosen for this 7th meeting in Tokyo is: “Africa and Yokohama, sharing a passion for the future”. They will be nearly 4,500 participants expected at this major international conference organized in Japan, including Heads of State and Government, as well as representatives of international and regional organizations, the private sector, NGOs and civil society.
