The Council of Ministers in its meeting of Wednesday September 16, 2020, approved, among other files, the new methods of remitting retirement pension books to taxable persons of the National Pension Fund of Benin (FNRB). A reform that aims to put end to the harassment imposed on retired by the administration. The President’s Government Patrice Talon has just made the application of the provision of the Code effective retirement pensions relating to the issuance of pension books and the timely payment of persons subject to the National Pension Fund of Benin under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This decision taken by the Council of Ministers which will be implemented under the leadership of Minister Romuald Wadagni, now assures retirees, the payment of his pension from the first month following his admission to the retirement, without any document produced by the administration being required. Eventually, a review of the pension automatically liquidated and made payable could be necessary but must take place within a maximum period of three months without however interrupting the pensioner’s monthly income. Therefore, the harassment of pensioners of the National Pension Fund of Benin is over.
