It has urgently and in favor of the last Council of Ministers taken appropriate measures to mobilize the necessary resources in the face of this health crisis. Indeed, on the instruction of the President of the Republic Patrice TALON, in order to ensure the financing of the measures taken by the Minister of Health, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, has already mobilized 6.950 billion CFA francs necessary for the support for extreme emergency actions in the fight against this epidemic. This amount is intended for: the construction of infrastructure necessary for the care and treatment of infected people,the acquisition of various equipment to strengthen the technical platform and medical consumables,the provision of buildings to ensure the isolation of people suspected of carrying COVID-19 germs during the observation period, etc. A work team has been set up to ensure the proper management of the resources thus made available and the quality of the expenditure that will be made, In addition, the Minister of the Economy and Finance, Mr. Romuald WADAGNI has given firm instructions to all his departments concerned, for the diligent treatment of requests for the provision of resources which will be submitted to them. It should be noted that in the medium and long term, as part of the strengthening of disease surveillance systems and the management of health crises, and taking into account their recurrence, the Government has decided to set up centers care and laboratories to international standards. This option allows a more sustainable and efficient management of the response to epidemics and other health crises that may occur. To do this 33,665,003,280 F CFA will be mobilized with the support of technical and financial partners. This prompt reaction of the government denotes its great sense of anticipation and its attachment to guaranteeing the good health of our populations. Everything is being done to ensure that the response against this epidemic does not suffer from any lack of funding.
