The Abomey Calavi University Hospital Center will soon be a reality. Funding for its construction is complete. The Minister of the Economy and Finance Romuald Wadagni and the representatives of Société Générale bank signed the financing agreement for this project. It was this Wednesday February 05, 2020 at the Ministry of Economy and Finance … 175 million Euros or about 115 billion CFA francs. This is the prize pool obtained by Romuald Wadagni for the construction of this referral hospital provided for in the Action Program of the Government of President Patrice Talon. This financing benefits from the partial guarantee of the French Public Investment Bank (BPI France). This first historic partnership between Benin and this renowned institution, made it possible to conclude this financing at an aggregated final maturity of around 11 years and at an aggregate interest rate of less than 4%, very competitive compared to those charged on regional and international financial markets. The consortium of companies represented by Bouygues Bâtiment International was appointed to carry out the construction and equipment contract for this benchmark health center. This modern hospital infrastructure, which will cover a 15 hectare site, will have clinical services and a high-level technical platform, in several medical and surgical specialties. It will provide facilities for diagnostic explorations, with biology and imaging units. The complete project management was entrusted to the agency Michel Beauvais associés which finalized the analysis of the detailed technical program and the development of the sketch. The environmental and social impact study has already been completed and validated. An agreement between the parties to the project is also made for it to be carried out as desired by the State.
