Within the framework of cooperation between Benin and the European Union, the real need for capacity building has been identified for actors in the energy sector in Benin. This need led to the formulation under the 11th European Development Fund of the Institutional Support and Capacity Building project for Actors in the Energy Sector in Benin (RECASEB), the financing agreement of which was signed between the Republic of Benin and the European Union, March 30, 2016.
Based on the demand expressed by the analysis of the energy sector and oriented towards results, it will give the means back to these different actors to enable them to play their role in the definition and implementation of energy policies. sector strategies (electricity, biomass, promotion of renewable energies, improvement of energy efficiency, regulation and regulation, planning, development of policies and strategies, promotion of public-private partnership etc.), and in all the relevant themes of the ‘SE4All initiative (access, renewable energies, energy efficiency).
Thus, the general objective (impact) of RECASEB is to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the SE4All initiative.
