By Law n ° 2018–38 adopted on October 17, 2018, the Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations du Bénin (CDCB) is established. The CDCB is a public establishment endowed with a legal personality as well as a financial autonomy, invested with a mission of general interest in support of the public policies led by the State and the territorial collectivities. It is placed under the supervision of the Minister of Economy and Finance.

Operation of a strategic institution like the CDCB requires the skills of experienced and multidisciplinary professionals.
